YOUTH GROUP

CLUB 78 AND BeSh2TY BEGIN ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13

 


Our Goal is to create a socially active

group that helps build strong Jewish

identities and lasting frIendships, creates a family and commujity through tikkun olam.

And, of course, we want to have FUN!

MEET OUR STAFF

Lara Regev, Our Youth Director and BeSH2TY Advisor

Lara Pullan Regev was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and is currently in her second year of the HUC-JIR Rabbinic Program.  She attended the University of Judaism (now American Jewish University) in Los Angeles, CA and graduated in the spring of 2006, receiving her BA in Modern Jewish Studies with a minor in Political Science.  Lara was actively involved in her synagogue's youth group as well as NFTY Southern California throughout her time in high school, and spent the three years prior to beginning her studies at HUC working for the Union for Reform Judaism, serving as the NFTY-Michigan Regional Advisor.  She has also spent 6 summers on staff at URJ Camp Newman-Swig in Santa Rosa, CA.  Lara is so excited be working as the Youth Director at Beth Shir Shalom and learning and growing with all of you!

Michael Saig, Club 78 Advisor

Michael Brenner Saig was born in Israel and Raised in Cleveland Ohio. He graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelors degree in Creative Writing in 2009.  Michael has been working with Jewish organizations for over 9 years, including five years as a counselor and Judaic leader at Camp Wise in Chardon Ohio, BBYO, and has been teaching at religious school's for over two years. Michael is excited to have been welcomed into the Beth Shir Shalom family, and looks forward to getting to know everyone in this next year.
